Moving Out 2

These are the last photos I took of my apartment in Maryland. It was very strange to see it all empty. It's weird now to think that someone else might be living there. Even though I don't live there anymore, it still seems like my apartment, and someone else there seems so strange. I think I'll always like this apartment and will think back on it fondly as my first apartment experience. Empty with a view to the kitchen and bathroom.

This was the area where my bed was, my sleeping alcove. It's kind of silly how much I miss this place, but moving was for the best.

Moving Out 1

These are pictures of the totally empty apartment as we were moving out. This was my last day in Maryland. As you can see, only Memo and his things are left. It was very weird seeing the apartment like this, because I had moved in with the intention of staying for five years, and not a year later I was vacating the place. It was sad because the apartment was my safe haven in a way from all of the struggles I was dealing with at Georgetown . Leaving the apartment was the only part of the moving out experience that made me cry.

These are the last pictures I'll be posting from Maryland. By the time I get home I'll probably have pictures for several days to post of DC and my moving experience, but these are the last photos I'll physically post from Maryland.

Sunset on the Summer Solstice

It's the Summer Solstice, officially the day of the year with the longest amount of sunlight. I took this right before the official start of sunset. I thought it would be cool to have a photo of sunset on the longest day of the year. Sunset was 2037 EDT.

Foggy Mornings

Memo was looking extra-sleepy so I covered him with the blanket and made him look even cuter.
The trees outside the bottom of my apartment windows. It took forever and I thought for sure this one was dead, but it finally got some leaves.
