Pony!!!!

So this lady had brought a pony to the tree farm and kids could get pony rides for four dollars. I was clearly way too big to get a pony ride, so I got a picture and pet the pony for one dollar instead. Isn't he cute?

Christmas Tree

This is the Christmas tree we cut down. That's my Mom holding onto it. It's pretty sweet.

Baby Christmas Trees

These are some of the baby Christmas trees growing at Broadview Tree Farm. We go there every year to cut down a Christmas tree. It's in Milford.

Pets

Memo and Miss Demeanor being friendly. Actually they were both sleeping and I woke them up.
I had the camera out so Mischief wanted me to take her picture too. She's a pretty girl!

Christmas Lights

So I was really bad about taking pictures and updating this during November because it was NaNoWriMo and I wrote a novel during all my spare time. I'm also having issues finding things to take pictures of. Hopefully the holiday season will change that. Anyway, these are the view from my window of our Christmas lights. They're probably blurry since it's dark.

Halloween 2009

Wow, I am so slow. NaNoWriMo is this month so I've spent most of my time frantically writing. Anyway, here are some Halloween pictures. I was Tom Baker-era Doctor Who. My dad made the K-9 for me out of foam board.

The maple tree outside my window has finally changed colours!

Apple Orchard

This is me at Long's apple orchard in Commerce. I saw these baby apple trees with their first crop of apples and thought they were really cute!

Kitties being friends?!?!

Finally, the long-sought for photographic proof that all three cats can coexist peacefully. I like Miss Demeanor's laser eyes.

Sunflower

The first sunflower that bloomed in our garden. It's gone now; the bluejays came and ate all the seeds.

The Garden

We plant a vegetable garden every year, and this year was the largest one we have ever done. We planted green and red bell peppers, green beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, parsley, basil, garlic chives, and italian chives.

We just transplanted the herbs into pots since there is a frost advisory now. Most everything else is done for the year, although the peppers are still growing. We might get a few more if they survive the frost.

Memo on the Red Pillow

This is a red Moshi pillow that I've had for a while, and I put it out to see if Memo liked it. Now he sleeps there exclusively. I kind of irritated him in the first picture, or caught him before a yawn or something. He looks pretty funny.

Here's one of him sleeping. He's always curled up in it like this. I think he likes it because the little beans in it shift so he can lean on it.

Wisp Under the Bed

Here's Wisp sitting under my bed. I don't know why she was under there, or what she thought she was doing, but there she is. For the record those are Star Wars action figures in the little green bin.

Rainstorm

It rained like crazy this evening so I took a couple of pictures from my window. I was surprised they came out at all.
I've been very busy trying to get a job so I haven't taken any photos yet this September. I'll try to post the rest of my August ones and hopefully get some more taken.

Kitties and Catnip

This thing is a mat that you can put catnip inside and then the cats get all silly. They were bored so I got it out and put fresh catnip in it. Miss Demeanor and Wisp got very silly.
But eventually grumpy ol' Miss D. won and got the whole thing to herself.

Stratford

Earlier this month we went to the Stratford Festival up in Canada. I don't have any exciting pictures of the plays because you aren't allowed to take pictures, but here's one of me in Demetre's Family Restaurant.

We were killing time and drove around for a while outside of Stratford and there was corn.
A lot of corn.

The internet finally works on my desktop computer, so hopefully I can post more often.

Memo and the Crinkly Tube, Part 3

Okay, last pictures of Memo in the crinkly tube. Shortly after this he started playing in the crinkly tube all night long, so it went back into the hallway. Now he and Wisp crash through the crinkly tube . He shuts his eyes almost every time the flash goes off so he looks asleep when he isn't.
Same thing, he was completely awake.
His eyes are sort of open. Doesn't he look cute in his crinkly tube? Oh yes he does.

Memo and the Crinkly Tube, Part 2

I am so bad at updating this daily. Not that it matters a lot, because I'm pretty sure that I'm the only person who reads this, but for consistency's sake I wish I could remember. Of course if I was on my desktop and not my dying laptop that might make it easier.
Anyway, here's more of Memo trying to understand the crinkly tube.
He lays really close to it. I'm not sure why he went butt-first this time.
Then he finally climbed into it and decided it was pretty cool.
And then remembered the string on the outside.

I have three more pictures of Memo and the tube, and after that I think I have a little more Memo, one of Wisp, another kitty, and a couple involving Stratford.

Memo and the Crinkly Tube, Part 1

While Memo was getting used to living in a new place, I brought in the crinkly tube that Wisp enjoys so much to see if he would like it. He was very interested. First he just kind of sat there and looked confused as to why there was a tube in the way.
Then he decided it was an interesting thing and decided to sit next to it. He's a little slow.
And finally he noticed the little ribbons on it and started to play with them.

More crinkly tube adventures next time!

Memo on the Bed

Here are some pictures of Memo on my bed. He is under the impression that this bed belongs to him. Upside down and being very silly. I think he might have been trying to take a bath.
He's just being totally silly in this one.
Actually napping. He likes to lean up against things when he sleeps, it's very strange.

Memo and the Cube

So I have this ottoman that is essentially a giant cube of foam with a slipcover on it. I had it in Maryland, but for some reason Memo decided that now was a good time to try and sit on it. He was really confused about the best way to do such a thing and ended up looking very goofy on his first attempt.
Then he kind of found a way that wouldn't make him tip over completely.
He stayed like this for a couple of minutes and then decided that it wasn't nearly as exciting as he thought it would be, and went and jumped in the window instead.

New Living Space

These are the first pictures I've taken of my new-old room in my parent's house. I actually just substantially changed this today. I'll have to take new photos because everything is different. I added another bookcase. Also that sign fell down so I need new sticking stuff.
This is mostly the same, the first two bookcases. There's more books on the second one now.
The wall over the desk with my war club and some photos. The desk is now moved a foot to the left to accommodate another bookcase, so the photo on the right is over the bed now.
That box is out of the way now, but that's my overburdened coat rack.
And lastly the corner with my dresser and fencing gear. Pardon the monitor in the way. One of the little black bookcases from the first picture is now next to the dresser.

The next few posts will be of Memo. I have some pictures of him in a crinkly tube and trying to understand my ottoman. They'll be split up into several posts because I have about sixteen pictures.

Moving Out 2

These are the last photos I took of my apartment in Maryland. It was very strange to see it all empty. It's weird now to think that someone else might be living there. Even though I don't live there anymore, it still seems like my apartment, and someone else there seems so strange. I think I'll always like this apartment and will think back on it fondly as my first apartment experience. Empty with a view to the kitchen and bathroom.
The front closets and A/C closet, with some boxes against the wall.
This was the area where my bed was, my sleeping alcove. It's kind of silly how much I miss this place, but moving was for the best.
